Viewed up close, the “Arena for a Tree” is simultaneously a sculpture, architecture, and a stage. Inspired by the growth rings of a tree, its horizontal structure offers seating for about fifty people in three rows, providing an ideal view of the center, where three trees grow from a central basin. In the video, Klaus Littmann explains why the choice of tree in Venice fell on the bald cypress.
